HR Manager
We are looking for am experienced HR Manager to join our team! The role is very versatile and suitable for an HR professional who is interested in taking hold of large entities. The number of employees varies greatly depending on the season, in the off-season there is about 15-30 people in staff and when the winter season is ongoing, the number of employees rises up to about 100 employees. A large portion of the employees come from outside Finland. We hope that you could start already in early June, so that we have time to go through a comprehensive orientation for the position and you will have a firm grip on the role.
Your tasks include, for example:
- Recruitment together with department supervisors
- Maintaining the employment lifecycle: We have a lot of seasonal workers, so there is a lot to coordinate. From the arrival of the employee to Kakslauttanen, the commencement of the employment relationship (tax card, personal identity code), questions related to the employment relationship and matters related to the termination of the employment relationship.
- Preparing various documents related to the employment relationship (e.g. updating the terms of employment in the Enter Finland service)
- Acting as a contact person for external payroll administration and occupational health care.
- Preparation of payroll material, answering questions in regards to pay
- Personnel surveys, organization of training for hygiene and alcohol passports
- Software administrator (payroll administration, working time tracking, Teamtailor, etc.)
- Maintaining the career portal
- Acting as the company's only HR person, managing employee accommodations
- Participating in employee well-being activities
- Contact person for supervisors in various employment-related matters
- During the high season (October-March), there is usually no time for development activities, but your ideas are eagerly received and development activities can be carried out at a quieter time.
- Previous experience in managing the employment relationship life cycle.
- Previous knowledge of collective agreements, if you have previous experience in interpreting collective agreements, you will certainly also learn MaRa's collective agreement (Collective agreement for employees in tourism, restaurant and leisure services in Finland)
- Knowledge of Finnish labour law (However, you will be supported by competent lawyers)
- Ability to work with different people, ability to act calmly, and have good level of stress tolerance
- Ability to handle confidential matters
- Confidence in oneself and in one's own capabilities
- Good communication skills
- Ability to organise one’s own work and assess the urgency of tasks
- Previous experience in international recruitment is advantageous for this role.
- Good command of the English language, both in writing and verbally (For example job interviews and vast majority of communication with the employees is done in English). Knowledge of the Finnish language is a necessity for the role.
- Formal education in the suitable field is advantageous
- A driver's license is an advantage, as especially in the winter season, you have to move from one place to another within the resort.
