Summer in Kakslauttanen

Summer greetings from Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort! 😎

After the winter season is over in March/April, there is still work to be done in every department, even though we have less customers visiting the resort. Most of the seasonal staff members are enjoying vacation/going home, or having a summer job. For us who are staying in the area and working also during the summer time, this period allows us to take our summer holidays and unwind before gearing up for the next season. Of course a lot of preparations in every department and this is the perfect time to make changes and develop new things for the future. In our HR department, we are preparing for the coming winter season and making everything ready. Adding some summer pictures i have taken during the summer here for you to see. 🌞

During winter we have our ice pool in here, during summer you can go swimming, try our SUP board or enjoy the sun.
Santa's reindeers are moving freely in the area. At times it has been very hot here in Lapland and reindeer's are trying to find a place away from the sun.
We gathered around with the staff and had a nice Indian dinner made by our chefs. 🤤

There is a lot of birds and other animals in the resort area. This summer there are couple baby squirrels too. 😍 They enjoy the food that we are giving to the birds.
Coming from the airport at around 11.30PM, the amount of light we have during the summer is unbelievable. 🤯In this picture, "midnight sun" time is already over, meaning that the sun is going down already.
Ivalo, where we have our bigger supermarkets has a nice fountain and beautiful flowers during the summer time. There is also picnic tables, so its nice to grab an ice cream from the store nearby.
We had a nice BBQ session for our staff in one of our tepee-tent 🌭
Serving of course our own beer from our brewery. 🍻
