Even though our resort is located "in the middle of nowhere", we have a plenty of beautiful nature and different kind of activities our employees can do while working in here. Saariselkä is the nearest "village", located 10km away from our resort. There we have the nearest small grocery store, bars and restaurants. Also bowling, spa and downhill skiing is possible in Saariselkä. Usually our people go to grocery shopping in Ivalo, located 40km away from our resort, there we have bigger grocery stores, library, gym etc.. During off-season our staff is using our company van to go to Ivalo, at least once per week. Of course if you have your own car/rental car, you can easily move in the area independently. During winter season, staff is going to Ivalo more frequently, due to different shifts, so we can guarantee that everyone has the possibility to go to the supermarket. 

Staff members can join our activities for free or with discounted price. It is great experience to try for instance how it's like to ride your own husky sledge or try snowmobile while doing aurora hunting. 

We have kettlebells for our staff to borrow. It is also possible to walk outside in the middle of beautiful nature and for instance Kiilopää "mountain 546 m" is very nearby and there you can do a nice little hikes also during the winter time. 

When people are having days off, they are usually visiting the cities nearby. For instance, you can easily go to:

Rovaniemi : 3 hours bus ride from East Village bus stop. Biggest city nearby, Santa Claus village, shopping possibilities, hotels, bars, museums, activities, restaurants..

Inari : 1h30 bus ride, discovering Sami culture in traditional museums. Nice restaurants, bars, hotels..

Also, our location is one of the best places to see northern lights so we warmly recomment downloading your aurora alert app, so you will never miss the aurora. As conclusion even tough we are in the middle of nowhere there is plenty of activities you can do during your free time!
